Cajun Red Beans and Rice (GF)


Our Cajun Rice and Beans features kidney beans, onions, bell peppers, celery, and brown rice simmered in savory vegetable broth until tender. The addition of Cajun spices, corn, and dark leafy greens make this dish a tasty, nutritional powerhouse!

Cooking Instructions

  1. Defrost 24 hours in refrigerator.
  2. In a large, high sided skillet with lid, bring 2 cups water and contents of cup to a boil over high heat.
  3. Stir in rice and kidney bean mixture and return to boil. Cover, reduce heat to low and simmer 20 minutes or until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender. Add additional water if mixture becomes too dry.
  4. Season to taste with salt, pepper and hot sauce. Serve with a green salad and cornbread!
